Counting Bears

We borrowed this counting bear set so this was the first time Derek has used the tweezers that come with the set. I decided to keep the activity simple so he could get practice using the tweezers. He knows all his colours and is pretty could at sorting them by colour. As you can see he did get silly and mix up the colours as a joke. He had some challenges with the tweezers. He wanted to hold them really far up the handle making it hard to squeeze. He figured that using two hands and squeezing them hard would help when I fact the opposite is the case. He did manage to get some bears picked up with the tweezers. Derek then decided he would just use his hand to fill the cups and dump and them out. This is a really good hand eye coordination and fine motor activity that also reinforces colours.
