Five Green and Speckled Frogs

I found this cute print out. I laminated and put magnets on the back of each piece so it could stick to the freezer. We sang the song and Derek was able to remove a frog as the song says. I also had some number magnets made so he had to match the number of frogs counted to the correct number. Number names are still tricky for Derek but he did surprisingly well, getting pretty much all of them correct. He even tried to show me the number three on his fingers. This is a great hands on activity to help with counting and number recognition. This is one of Derek’s favorite songs and he enjoyed being able to manipulate the pieces while he sang.
