Coconut Tree – Matching/Dabber

Derek was given a lowercase alphabet card, find the matching letter on the coconut tree and then do a dot it. I knew he would need some assistance but for the most part he should be capable of doing an activity like this. He was however not feeling it. Despite what the videos show it was like pulling teeth to get him to do the bit he did. instead would pick the wrong letter on purpose, run around and get silly, recite lines from the book, dot the wrong spot and just overall find some way to not do the activity. I even have him a page of just letters to go crazy dotting but that didn’t last long. Overall this was just a fail of an activity.
