Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Tree

This is Derek’s favorite book so I made him a tree to go with the story. I made the tree out of soup cans and some paper. With the metal of the cans we were able to use magnetic letters. This way the letters would be able to climb the tree as well as be able to fall off the tree easily. We used lowercase letters like in the book. We read the book, matched the letters and put them on the tree. Derek is still learning lowercase letters so he needed some help finding the right letter. Derek’s favorite part was when all the letters fell down. Then we picked them up and put them back in the tree. This was a lot of fun for Derek.
