Alphabet Stamp Painting

I started out by putting foam alphabet stickers on a toilet paper roll. Then I had Derek roll it into paint and then onto the paper. The roll got very goopy with paint and when we tried to roll it just made a big glob on the paper. We tried with less paint but then we didn’t see much. We had to press hard as we were rolling but also be careful not to squish the toilet paper roll. This wasn’t really working to well. Then we got a paint roller to put the toilet paper roll on and this worked better but still too much paint ended up on the roll and it made a glob on the paper. We didn’t have to push as hard when rolling so with less paint on the roll it worked better but still wasn’t great. Then I decided to put the foam letters onto bottle caps to make stamps and this worked the best. We were actually able to see what letters we made and Derek could do this all by himself. I wouldn’t recommendation the toilet paper roll painting but I would recommend the bottle cap stamps. Just make sure you have the stickers on backwards to that when you stamp they will be the right way. It was OK as most of the letters in Derek’s name could be turned around except for the R. That ended up backwards. With some trial and error we ended up finding something that worked. Overall Derek did enjoy rolling and stamping even if we couldn’t really make out many
