Do A Dot Shapes

We didn’t have any do a dot markers so we improvised. First we used paint and a q-tip. This didn’t go as planned as Derek just wanted to draw and scribble on the paper with the paint and q-tip completely ignoring the intention of the activity. We switched to using stamps witch worked better but Derek still wasn’t getting it fully. He wanted to just go crazy and stamp wherever on the paper. This was Derek first time doing an activity like this. We had to do a lot of hand over hand to show him how the activity was supposed to be done. This probably would have gone a bit better if we had proper do a dot markers so that Derek wouldn’t have to lose his focus on stamping the circles to re inking the stamp. It’s a great activity and I would definitely do it again if we had proper do a dot markers, though it was a bit advanced for Derek.
