Spring Sensory

The intention was to have a sensory bin of farm/spring related items out for Derek to explore. Things included were shredded paper, plastic eggs, stuffed animals and play food. All in the farm/spring theme. Derek wasn’t really into it until I brought out the little people farm set. Overall Derek enjoyed the combination of the two as it brought a new level of interest and play both to the farm set and the the sensory bin materials. This kept him busy for about 20 minutes working on his imagination and dramatic play skills. Sometimes it’s just nice to play without always having a more traditional academic component.
